3.8. Cover and stopper of the fuel tank

For opening of a cover of the fuel tank it is necessary to displace the handle (fig. 1.30) to the center of the car and to press it down. To close a cover, it is necessary to press the handle against the stop.

For closing of a bulk mouth of the fuel tank it is necessary to rotate a stopper clockwise to a zashchelkivaniye of the ratchet device. During gas station place a stopper in a special nest on a cover (fig. 1.31).

PREVENTION In a tank there can be pressure of vapors of fuel. In order to avoid getting injured from possible spraying of fuel when opening a tank it is necessary to turn at first a stopper half way and to wait, the hissing sound will not stop yet.

In a stopper the safety valve necessary for the correct work of a power supply system is installed.

The stopper of a bulk mouth is allowed to be replaced only on similar the Nissan brands.

Use of an improper stopper can lead to serious failures in operation of the engine and even to its failure.
