3.16. Running in of the new car

During the first 1600 km of a run it is necessary to implement certain recommendations of manufacturer which will ensure further reliable and economic functioning of the car. Non-compliance with these recommendations can lead to breakage of the car and reduction of service life of the engine and other units. The main requirements at a running in are:

— not to allow operation of the engine with frequency of rotation more than 4000 min. — 1 and not to gather speed more than 80 km/h;

— not to begin the movement it is sharp, with big acceleration;

— not to accelerate the movement with completely pressed pedal of supply of fuel by any transfer;

— whenever possible to avoid sharp braking;

— not to tow the trailer the first 800 km of a run.
