8.2.6. Check of effort of movement of a gear lath

Lift a forward part of the car and remove wheels. Disconnect tips of steering drafts from rotary fists. Disconnect the cardan hinge located between shaft of steering and the steering mechanism for what turn off a fastening bolt. Launch the engine, warm up working liquid in system of steering to 60 — 80 °C. Measure by means of the dynamometer attached to steering draft, effort of movement of a lath from its average situation. If the measured effort exceeds 284 N, it is necessary to replace the steering mechanism. Connect the cardan hinge and establish steering drafts into place. Execute other assembly operations as it should be, the return to dismantling.
