8.2.5. Check of effort of turn of a steering wheel

Install the car on the dry horizontal platform and put wheels in position of the rectilinear movement. Check and bring to norm pressure in tires. Turn on the parking brake. Launch the engine and warm up working liquid in system of the hydraulic booster of the steering mechanism to 60 — 80 °C. By means of the dynamometer attached to a rim of a steering wheel check effort of turn of a steering wheel to one turn. The engine has to idle. If the effort exceeds 38 N, check effort of movement of a gear lath of the steering mechanism.
