4.10.4. Removal and installation of the oil pallet of the SR20DE engine

Lift a forward part of the car by means of a jack and establish it on supports. Disconnect a wire from the "minus" plug of the rechargeable battery. Turn out nuts of fastening of the protective pallet. Merge oil.

Remove a reception pipe of the muffler. Turn out as it should be, the return shown on fig. 2.77, bolts of fastening of the steel pallet. Remove the pallet. Remove a maslouspokoitelny guard, having turned off bolts of its fastening (fig. 2.78). Raise the engine by means of a jack, having established it under the transmission, or you will hang out by means of roofing felts.
On cars with the mechanical transmission note the provision of a coupling bolt on an arm of a forward support of the power unit. Turn off and remove a nut, then take out a coupling hairpin of a suspension bracket of the power unit. Turn off and remove a nut of a coupling bolt of a back support of the power unit. Turn out and remove four bolts with washers of fastening of the central cross-piece. Lower a cross-piece and take out it from under the car. Remove a lock ring between a back suspension bracket of the power unit and an arm.
On the car with the conditioner turn out and remove bolts of fastening of an arm of the compressor to an aluminum case.

Turn out two bolts and remove a flat cover from a flange of a case (fig. 2.79) to get access to two fixing nuts of an aluminum case. Turn out nuts and bolts of fastening of an aluminum case as it should be, the return specified fig. 2.80.

Turn out two bolts of fastening of a flange of a case of the engine to the transmission boat. Screw these bolts in openings of 2 (fig. 2.81). Tighten bolts to separation of an aluminum case from the surface of the block of cylinders then turn out bolts.
On cars with the automatic transmission for removal of a case disconnect a selector cable from the transmission.

After removal of a case turn out bolts and a nut of fastening of the filter and an oil receiver, and also the amplifier of the basis of a cast bed of radical bearings of a bent shaft (fig. 2.82) and remove them. Wash out the mesh filter in solvent. Check a filter grid. In case of malfunction replace an oil receiver assembled with the filter. Check rubber pillows of a support of the central cross-piece of a suspension bracket. On them there should not be wear tracks and damages. In case of need replace rubber pillows.
Before installation clear of sealant of a surface of interface of the block of cylinders and a case, wipe with pure rags a case and an internal part of the engine. Establish a new sealing ring in a groove on the top part of an oil receiver and the filter. Install the filter on the basis of a cover of the oil pump.

Evenly tighten bolts and a nut of fastening of the filter. Establish the amplifier on a cast bed of radical bearings of a bent shaft and evenly tighten fastening bolts. Apply a uniform and continuous layer of sealant according to fig. 2.83 on the pure and dry surface of interface of an aluminum case and the block of cylinders.
Install a case on the block of cylinders. Establish bolts and nuts of fastening of a case
also tighten them the set moment in the sequence specified fig. 2.80.
Establish two bolts of fastening of a flange of a case of the engine to a case of the transmission and evenly tighten them. On cars with the automatic transmission attach a selector cable. Establish a flat cover on a flange of a case and evenly tighten bolts of its fastening (see fig. 2.79).
On cars with the conditioner establish bolts of fastening of an arm of the compressor and evenly tighten them. Make sure that rubber pillows of support are established on the places. Establish a lock ring on a back arm of a support of the power unit. Establish into place the central cross-piece, fix it by bolts with washers and tighten them the set moment.
On cars with the mechanical transmission establish a coupling bolt with a nut on an arm of a forward support of the power unit. Adjust position of the power unit so that the coupling bolt coincided with the tag made before removal. Tighten a bolt the set moment. Establish a coupling bolt on an arm of a back support of the power unit and tighten a nut the set moment. Remove a jack from under the transmission. Establish a maslouspokoitelny guard on the basis of an aluminum case and evenly tighten fastening bolts. Put a continuous even layer a germetka on a contour of a pure and dry surface of interface of the steel stamped pallet and an aluminum case. Put a sealant layer in a fillet in the central part of a surface of interface to an aluminum case between openings and around inner edges of openings for bolts.

Install the steel pallet, acquire bolts by hand, then tighten them in the sequence shown in fig. 2.72. Establish a reception pipe of the muffler on a final collector. Establish into place the lower protective guard and evenly tighten bolts of its fastening. Fill in engine oil in the engine.
