The cooling system of Nissan engines with compulsory circulation of the cooling liquid provided with the centrifugal pump. It is given by a poliklinovy belt from a pulley of a bent shaft. The system includes a radiator, a broad tank, the water pump, the thermostat, branch pipes and one or two electric fans depending on a complete set. Details of the cooling system are given in fig. 2.67. The water pump is installed on a forward cover of the drive of the distributive mechanism. The thermostat is installed near the water pump (fig. 2.68).
Temperature began opening of the main valve of the thermostat of 76,5 °C. The full speed of a rod of the main valve of 8 mm corresponds to temperature of cooling liquid of 90 °C.
Cooling system radiator with vertical aluminum tubes and plastic tanks. On cars with the automatic transmission the oil-water heat exchanger is built in the lower tank of a radiator.
Pressure of operation of the safety valve of a stopper of a radiator of 0,8 — 1,0 kgfs/cm2.
The broad tank with a capacity of 0,7 l is made of plastic, fastens in a motor compartment before an arch of the right forward wheel.
The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid with the return temperature coefficient. Sensor resistance at a temperature of 60 °C makes 70 — 90 Ohms, at 100 °C — 21 — 24 Ohm.
On cars with the mechanical transmission one single-speed electric fan which is switched on by means of the relay is installed. On cars with the mechanical transmission and the conditioner two single-speed fans are installed. On cars with the automatic transmission two 2-speed fans which turn on two relays. Fans fasten behind a cooling system radiator. Relays settle down in the relay block installed in a motor compartment. Resistance of the managing director of a winding of the relay of 75 Ohms.
