11.2.14. Removal and installation of the dashboard

Disconnect minus a wire from the rechargeable battery. Remove modules of safety cushions from the driver and the passenger (depending on configuration option). Take out an ashtray. Turn out the screws of fastening of the central part of facing of the panel located under the autoradio tape recorder (fig. 9.35). Remove the central part of facing of the dashboard, taking it from two spring locks located over the central nozzles of ventilation then remove switches and separate shtekerny blocks. Remove the autoradio tape recorder and the central ware box. Turn out screws of fastening of the control panel of ventilation and heating (fig. 9.36). Remove the lighter and illumination of an ashtray. Depending on a complete set, shift a gear shifting lever cover from the lower situation or remove a gear shifting lever casing. Move sitting against the stop forward, then remove fastenings of a back part of the central console (fig. 9.37).

Move sitting back and remove fastenings of a forward part of the central console. Turn out a back bolt of fastening of a forward part of the central console which is between the lever of gear shifting and the lever of the drive of the parking brake. Raise the central console for a back part, take out bolts of fastening of forward and back parts and remove the console assembled. Open a ware box, remove the lower axes of fastening and put forward a ware box. Disconnect the switch of illumination of a ware box and take out a bulb together with the boss. Remove facing of a forward right rack of a body under the dashboard (fig. 9.38). Remove on the left side the lower part of facing of the dashboard (

fig. 9.39). Separate sockets of a sound signal, remove a steering wheel. At the same time you watch that forward wheels were established in the situation corresponding to the rectilinear movement of the car. Remove a casing of facing of a shaft of steering (fig. 9.40). Remove a frame of a combination of devices. Remove a combination of devices. On the left side remove and disconnect a wire of management of external rear-view mirrors, then the proofreader of provision of headlights in the vertical plane. Turn out the screw of fastening of the dashboard located around a combination of devices then the screws which are at the basis of the central part of the dashboard and the lower screws of fastening from each party (fig. 9.41). Exempt from spring latches from each party facing of forward racks of a body. On cars with the anti-theft device remove on the right side and disconnect a control lamp. Remove decorative caps of the top screws of fastening of the panel. Turn out the top screws of fastening of the dashboard, then carefully take out two top aligning plugs and air ducts (fig. 9.42) together with the assistant, trying not to damage governing bodies.

You make installation in the sequence, the return to removal. At the same time you monitor the correct centering of the dashboard on the fixing plugs. Pay attention to the correct provision of air ducts. Connect shtekerny blocks. Before final installation it is necessary to be convinced of operability of all governing bodies.
