4.1.2. Installation of the power unit

Preparation for installation. Before installation of the transmission with the engine apply a layer of jellied lubricant on vents of a main shaft of the transmission. Be convinced of the correct installation of pins on the engine or the transmission and that the bearing supporting a main shaft of the transmission is in a flywheel groove. Center the provision of the conducted clutch plate by means of a special mandrel. Carefully pull the transmission over the engine before entry of adjusting pins into the nests. Establish the bolts connecting a transmission case to the engine; be convinced of the correct provision of all arms and tighten bolts the set moment. Establish a starter and tighten fastening bolts.

For installation of the power unit place it under the car and a zastropita for lifting eyes. Together with the assistant bring the power unit the lifting device to a motor compartment. Check whether interfere with installation auxiliary units, pipelines and electric wires.

Installation of the power unit is carried out in the sequence, the return to removal, taking into account the following instructions.

Make sure that electric wires are correctly laid and fixed by brackets, and electrosockets correctly and are reliably connected.

Before installation of shaft of the drive of forward wheels replace cuffs on flanges of semi-axial gear wheels of differential.

Check correctness of connection of branch pipes of the cooling system and their reliable fastening by collars.

Adjust a cable of the drive of management of a butterfly valve.

Replace new all самоконтрящиеся nuts.

Tighten threaded connections the set moment.

Replace lock rings on shafts of shaft of the drive of wheels.

Establish distance of 55 mm between two bolts of a rubber-metal support of a forward arm of a suspension bracket of the power unit before start an inhaling of fastening of arms of a suspension bracket.

Connect and adjust a coupling cable.

Establish and adjust auxiliary driving belts.

Fill in oil of the required brand in the engine and the transmission.

Fill the cooling system with antifreeze and remove from it air.

Launch the engine and check lack of leak of liquids.

After assembly check and if necessary adjust the angles of installation of forward wheels.
