Disconnect a wire from the "minus" plug of the rechargeable battery. Turn a bent shaft and combine a cut of 1 (fig. 3.38) of a pulley with a tag on the block of cylinders (the piston in the 1st cylinder is in compression step VMT). Remove the air duct connecting the case of the air filter and the inlet pipeline. On the CD20E engine disconnect the vacuum hose and an oil pipeline suitable to the vacuum pump and remove the vacuum pump, taking precautionary measures for the prevention of a spill of oil. Remove details of fastening of a branch pipe of cooling liquid under the TNVD case and take aside a branch pipe.

Uncover the TNVD driving belt, laying and, having weakened a nut of a tension roller, wring out it, turning clockwise (fig. 3.39). Wrap a nut of a roller and take off a belt.
It is recommended to replace a tension roller when replacing a driving belt. The roller has to rotate on an axis without jammings.

At installation of a driving belt consider the direction of its rotation specified on a belt by shooters. Make sure that the pulley cut (without color marking) a bent shaft is opposite to a tag on the block of cylinders; the tag on the cogged pulley of the camshaft (from a flywheel) is in situation "1 hour" for the CD20 engine (fig. 3.40) or "12 hours" for the CD20E engine (fig. 3.41); the tag on gear to a pulley of TNVD is in situation "1 hour".

If TNVD or its pulley were removed, consider that on CD20 and CD20E engines different shponochny grooves are used (see fig. 3.34). Examine cogged pulleys, a roller and be convinced of absence of damage on their surface.
Establish a belt on pulleys, having a tag on a belt opposite to tags on pulleys of the camshaft and TNVD, at the same time the direction of an arrow on a belt has to be turned towards the engine.
Adjust a tension of a branch of a driving belt between cogged pulleys. The effort enclosed to a dynamometer when checking a tension of a belt makes for the CD20 10 — 20 engine of kgf, for the CD20E engine — 5 — 15 kgfs.
On the CD20E engine install into place the vacuum pump. Turn off a nut of a tension roller and release its spring. Turn on two turns a bent shaft clockwise and return to a point of adjustment of an initial corner of an advancing of injection of fuel for check of correctness of the TNVD installation. Do not turn a bent shaft of the engine, using for this purpose a camshaft pulley. Execute the remained operations as it should be, the return to removal.
