5.1. General information

The CD20 model engine diesel, four-cycle, four-cylinder, vortex-chamber, with the top arrangement of the camshaft put in action by a gear belt from a pulley of a bent shaft. The engine is located over the forward bridge across a longitudinal axis of the car.

Structurally it is grouped with coupling, the transmission and the main transfer to the power unit.

Since April, 1996 modification of the CD20E engine with an electronic control system of operation of the engine is issued.
