7.1.5. Check and adjustment of angles of installation of forward wheels

An inspection is carried out only on the equipped car installed on the flat horizontal platform.
Before check execute the following:
— check and bring to norm air pressure in tires;
— be convinced that on each axis tires of the identical size, with identical wear of a protector are installed;
— check hinges of a forward suspension bracket and bearings of naves of forward wheels and eliminate side plays, having replaced worn-out details;
— shake a car suspension bracket, having made several times effort from top to down in a middle part at first of a back, and then front bumper. At the same time wheels have to be are located in the family way of the rectilinear movement.
By means of the optical device measure real values of angles of installation of wheels and compare them with specified in tab. 5.1.

On the Nissan Almera car only the convergence of forward wheels is subject to adjustment. For this purpose evenly rotate steering drafts of both wheels at an equal size (fig. 5.8).
In case of a considerable deviation of other parameters check suspension bracket details for possible deformation or wear.
