5.3.2. Removal and installation of the gear drive of the mechanism of gas distribution

When using of earlier working belt note the direction of its movement before starting removal. Establish a driving belt on the tags made at removal.
Switch-off the "minus" plug of the rechargeable battery. A forward part of the car on the right side also establish to Poddomkratta a support. Remove a wheel, a mudguard and the lower board of protection of a case of the engine. Merge liquid from the cooling system. Weaken fastening of a pulley of the drive of the water pump. Remove the top branch pipe of a radiator of the cooling system of the engine through an arch of the right wheel. Take off driving belts of the service equipment, a pulley of the drive of the water pump, the top part of a cover of the drive of the mechanism of gas distribution and take laying. Establish to an emphasis under the engine or you zastropit the engine for eyes. Remove the right arm of an engine mount. Disconnect the electrical wires suitable to a starter, and then a starter. Turn a bent shaft and establish a cut of a pulley of a bent shaft (without color marking) against a tag on the block of cylinders (the piston of the 1st cylinder is in compression step VMT).
Turn a bent shaft clockwise for a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft or the lifted forward wheel after inclusion IV or V transfers.

Establish instead of adaptation starter (KV 10105630 and KV 101105610) for blocking of a flywheel from rotation (fig. 3.15). Turn off a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft, then by means of a stripper with captures for external gearing remove a pulley. Remove the lower part of a cover of the drive of the mechanism of gas distribution and take laying. Weaken a bolt of a tension roller and turn a roller counterclockwise for weakening of a tension of a driving belt. Tighten a bolt of a tension roller. Remove the flange of the cogged pulley of the camshaft directing a roller, a driving belt of the camshaft. Take out a segment spline and remove a maslootrazhatel (on the CD20 engine).
After removal of a driving gear belt do not allow turn of cranked and distributive shaft to avoid blow of valves about pistons.
When replacing a driving belt of the mechanism of gas distribution it is recommended to replace tension and driving rollers also. If rollers are not replaced, then be convinced that they rotate without jammings.

At installation of a driving belt observe the direction of installation specified by shooters on a belt. Check a condition of an epiploon of a forward support of a bent shaft. If necessary replace an epiploon. For a vypressovka of an epiploon use a mandrel of the corresponding diameter. Put a lubricant layer between forward edges of an epiploon. Be convinced of purity and absence of damage on the surfaces of the cogged pulleys and rollers adjoining to a driving belt. Establish a maslootrazhatel of a pulley of a bent shaft (on the CD20 engine), observing the direction of installation (fig. 3.16), and a segment spline. Make sure that the spline of a bent shaft is in situation "12 hours", and the cut on the cogged pulley of the camshaft is in situation "3 hours" (fig. 3.17). Establish the directing roller, then a driving belt with a pulley on a bent shaft so that tags on pulleys of cranked and distributive shaft were in situation "3 hours". Adjust a tension of a branch of a driving belt between two cogged pulleys. Focus arrows on a gear driving belt from the engine aside. Establish a flange of the cogged pulley of the camshaft and apply a layer of kontrovochny paste on bolts of fastening of a flange. Turn off a nut of a tension roller for release of a spring. Turn a bent shaft of the engine on two turns clockwise, then return it to the provision of an initial corner of an advancing of injection for installation check.
Do not rotate a bent shaft of the engine for the cogged pulley of the camshaft.
Tighten a nut of a tension roller, holding a roller from rotation by means of a key with an external hexagon. Other operations on installation of a belt are carried out as it should be, the return to removal. Fill with liquid the cooling system of the engine and remove from it air.
