10.2.1. Removal and installation of the generator

Disconnect wires from the rechargeable battery. Remove the heat-shielding screen of a final collector. Disconnect all wires from the generator and take them aside. On the diesel engine disconnect hoses from the vacuum pump. Merge a part of cooling liquid then disconnect the bringing hose from a radiator.

Disconnect a plait of wires in a zone of fastening of the generator and, without disconnecting shtekerny sockets, take him aside. On cars with climatic installation carefully take aside pipelines, without disconnecting them. Weaken a generator belt tension for what release a lock bolt, then release a bolt of adjustment of a tension of a belt (fig. 8.1 and 8.2). Take off a belt from a generator pulley. Turn out a lock bolt of the generator, and then the lower bolt of fastening. On diesel engines disconnect the vacuum pump from the generator.

You make installation as it should be, the return to removal. Adjust a belt tension. Add cooling liquid and remove air traffic jams.
