For dismantling of differential install a differential box in a vice with soft sponges. Beat out a pin of fastening of an axis of satellites (fig. 4.37), take an axis and take out satellites and semi-axial gear wheels.

Remove a gear wheel of the main transfer, previously having marked an arrangement of details. Take out conic bearings.

Check technical condition of details. Replace bearings if they have scratches, traces of an overheat or excessive wear. The axis of satellites should not have traces of jamming or wear, an excessive gap in the case, otherwise it needs to be replaced. The working surface of teeths of satellites and semi-axial gear wheels should not be painted or excessively worn-out.

Before assembly establish into place semi-axial gear wheels and satellites with washers. Then establish an axis of satellites. Measure axial movement of semi-axial gear wheels (fig. 4.38) which has to be no more than 0,3 mm. At bigger movement pick up washers of the corresponding thickness. Establish a new pin of fastening of an axis of satellites. Apply a layer of kontrovochny paste on bolts of fastening and establish a gear wheel of the main transfer. Tighten fixing bolts the moment of 80 N · m.
