5.4.1. Design features

Fig. 3.21. Cooling system details: 1 — a heater radiator; 2 — electric motors of fans; 3 — casings of fans; 4 — krylchatka of fans; 5 — a radiator; 6 — a broad tank; 7 — TNVD with the device for launch of the cold engine (CD20 engine); 8 — laying; 9 — the water pump; 10 — a pulley of the water pump; 11 — the sensor of the index of temperature of cooling liquid; 12 — the taking-away cooling system branch pipe; 13 — the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid (a control system of the engine); 14 — the thermostat case; 15 — the thermostat; 16 — a branch pipe of a supply of cooling liquid; 17 — an oil filter; 18 — an arm of fastening of an oil filter; 19 — a water oil cooler; 20 — the fastening plug; 21 — a cover

In the engine the liquid cooling system of the closed type with compulsory circulation is used. The structure of system is specified fig. 3.21. Electric fans turn on the electronic control unit (ECU) depending on the speed of the movement of the car, temperature of cooling liquid and turning on of the conditioner (at its existence).
The water pump 9 of centrifugal type fastens to the block of cylinders and is given to rotation by a maple belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering from a pulley of a bent shaft of the engine.
The radiator 5 consists of vertically located orebrenny aluminum tubes and plastic tanks with cooling liquid. It is established in a forward part of the car.
The applied cooling liquid: the mix of 50% of water and 50% of antifreeze which is not freezing up to the temperature — 25 °C. Pressure of operation of the final valve of a stopper of a radiator of 8 — 10 Pas.
The broad tank 6 of plastic fastens in a motor compartment before an arch of the right wheel. The aluminum water oil cooler is established behind the block of cylinders and serves for additional cooling of oil by means of circulation of cooling liquid in a zone of fastening of an oil filter.
The thermostat 15 is installed in the case 14 over an oil filter. Temperature began opening of the main valve of 88 °C. The course of the main valve at a temperature of 100 °C — 10 mm. The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid is similar applied on petrol engines.
The relay of turning on of electric fans is located in the relay block installed on an arch of the right wheel in a motor compartment. The block of electric fans consists of two identical fans which turn on on the signals arriving from the sensor. Temperature of turning on of the 1st fan of 90 °C, switching off — 83 °C. Inclusion temperature
The 2nd fan of 105 °C, switching off — 98 °C.

Fig. 3.22. Arrangement of traffic jams of drain openings of the cooling system: I \on the block of cylinders; II \in the bottom of a radiator

The arrangement of traffic jams of drain openings of the cooling system is given in fig. 3.22.
