4.1.3. Removal, a detachment and installation of the power unit on cars with the automatic transmission

Removal is carried out similar to removal of the power unit with the mechanical transmission taking into account the following.
Disconnect a selector cable from the transmission.
Disconnect a cable of compulsory return gear shifting ("kick-down") from the case of a butterfly valve.
Disconnect electric sockets from the transmission.
Disconnect hoses of cooling of oil from the transmission.
Operation of a detachment of the transmission from the engine is performed similarly above described for the engine with the mechanical transmission taking into account the following.
Turn out bolts of fastening and remove a flat cover from a flange of an oil case for access to hydrotransformer bolts. Turn out and remove an available bolt. Then by means of a face key and the extender turn a pulley of a bent shaft and in turn turn out the remained bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a drive plate. In total it is necessary to turn out four bolts. Make sure that the hydrotransformer will not drop out at removal of the transmission.
Fix the hydrotransformer by means of the steel plate attached by a bolt to one of openings for starter bolts. Check reliability of installation of the engine and transmission on supports. Then turn out bolts of fastening of the transmission to the engine, previously having remembered or having written down their arrangement. Carefully separate the transmission from the engine. If it is possible, remove adjusting pins from the transmission and keep them.
At installation of the power unit with the hydromechanical transmission pay attention to the following.
Be convinced of the correct assembly of the hydrotransformer with the transmission. The distance from openings for bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to the privalochny surface of the transmission is for this purpose measured. At the correct installation of the hydrotransformer this distance has to make 15,9 mm. Remove a plate which fixed the hydrotransformer. Combine hydrotransformer openings with openings of a drive plate and insert into them fastening bolts. Tighten the set moment bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer. Then establish into place a flat cover of an oil case and evenly tighten fastening bolts. Establish and adjust a cable of compulsory return gear shifting ("kick-down").
